Did you know that caring for a single donkey costs an average of $3,000 per year? As an organization dedicated to the welfare of these incredible animals, we rely on the generosity of donors like you to provide them with the care they need. By sponsoring a donkey, you can help us offset this cost and ensure these amazing creatures receive their necessary food, shelter, and veterinary care.

We have several levels of sponsorship to fit anyone's budget.

Salsa

Salsa is lovable and loves her brushing time but can be bossy. She would like to be the alpha female but is behind Wendi in the pecking order. Salsa loves to be loved on and can be a little jealous!

Flash

Flash and Cassie are bonded together. They are donkey soulmates!

Calypso

Calypso is Salsa’s mom we adopted her in 2022. She has a sweet disposition and loves attention but will assert herself with the herd when necessary. Her favorite thing is “brushing time!”

Emma Lou

Emma Lou is shy and standoffish. She likes to wonder around in her own thoughts. Emma Lou will remain in the winter pasture this summer, due to medical reasons.

Coco

Coco is our oldest donkey who will be 40 this year and has bonded with Tarzan, the alpha male. Coco has been with the herd the longest, more than 20 years.

Georganna

Georganna likes coming into town for events and seeing people.

Hershey

Hershey is independent, has a mind of his own and is very intelligent. Hershey and Deckers both love to grab ahold of the rubber ball with a handle and run around with it. Hershey will keep Amos and Emma Lou company at the winter pasture for the summer, due to medical reasons.

Wendi

Wendi is the alpha female… the leader of the ladies!

Cassie

Cassie loves Flash and is quite communicative. If you listen, you’ll most likely hear her bray.

Pearl

Pearl is shy and likes to do her own thing. Pearl is happy to be away from the action.

Matilda

Matilda is a crowd favorite because. She's small and cute, people love her!

Tiffany

Tiffany is Decker’s mom and is especially well behaved in parades and events. She’s a “talker” and likes to bray.

Deckers

Deckers celebrates his 7th birthday on June 1st, 2024. He was born to Tiffany in Cripple Creek and is our youngest donkey. He’s well behaved and comfortable at events as he enjoys being around people.
